Aggravated Harassment Case Reduced to Misdemeanor with No Jail or Probation
Our client was charged in Yavapai County Superior Court with multiple counts of Aggravated Harassment arising from alleged violations of an Order of Protection.
Through negotiation with the prosecutor, our firm secured a plea agreement allowing the charge to be treated as an undesignated offense. At the change of plea hearing, we requested that the Court designate the offense as a misdemeanor immediately, and the Court granted that request.
The Court imposed no jail time and no probation, requiring only the minimum fine mandated by the plea agreement.
This outcome allowed our client to avoid a felony conviction and resolve the case as a misdemeanor, while continuing to address related family court matters and move forward with his life.
